Rozelle is a place where Aboriginal children learned, played and celebrated their culture for thousands of years on this beautiful, natural land. As we learn, play and celebrate together on this land, we honour the Wangal people of the Eora nation and pay our respects to elders both past and present.
As we reach the end of another remarkable year at Rozelle Public School, I would like to take this opportunity to reflect on the many achievements and growth of our students and the wider community.
This year has been filled with enriching learning opportunities and vibrant community events, including the highlights for our students the Colour Run and the Silent Disco. Our students have demonstrated incredible dedication and enthusiasm, embracing challenges in various areas such as representation at Zone, Regional and State Swimming, Cross Country and Athletics, Maths Olympiad & Maths Games competitions, Operation Art, School’s Spectacular, Band Camp, Stage 3 Stanwell Tops Camp, Year 4 Narrabeen Sports & Recreation Camp and so much more. Their progress is a testament to their hard work and determination.
I would also like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to our exceptional teachers, admin team and support staff. Their professionalism and unwavering commitment to our students and families have been instrumental in fostering a successful educational environment. Our students have all made progress towards academic success and should feel proud of their achievements.
Beyond academic achievements, our school community has thrived in creating a warm and inclusive atmosphere. Through numerous events, sports carnivals and creative projects, our students have showcased their talents, making this year one to celebrate.
As we approach the festive season, I wish all our students and families a happy time filled with relaxation and cherished moments with loved ones.
Thank you for your support in 2024 as my relieving position comes to an end, I would like to express my gratitude in having the opportunity to lead such a professional and dedicated team of teachers and a very supportive school community. I look forward to another successful year ahead!
PRESENTATION DAY ASSEMBLY
Our Presentation Day Assembly on Wednesday 11 December, was very special. Not only did we celebrate and acknowledge student achievement, there were also some fabulous performances from our dance group and band. I would like to thank our special guests for their attendance and to Kobi Shetty, Greens Member for Balmain, who donated a book voucher as a prize for the recipient of the Citizenship Award. Congratulations to all our award recipients - a full list has been included in this newsletter.

LEAVING ROZELLE
I would like to extend warm wishes to everyone who is leaving the Rozelle Public School community - staff, students and families. Some students and families have been a part of the school community for a short period of time while others have been with us for many years. Best wishes to everyone for the new challenges and the exciting journey ahead.
Should any family’s situation change and they find themselves not returning to Rozelle in 2025, please email the school before the end of the year or during the holiday rozelle-p.school@det.nsw.edu.au. This is essential as we need to account and cater for every child as we form 2025 classes.
