Rozelle is a place where Aboriginal children learned, played and celebrated their culture for thousands of years on this beautiful, natural land. As we learn, play and celebrate together on this land, we honour the Wangal people of the Eora nation and pay our respects to elders both past, present and emerging.
ART TRAIL - 12 DAYS TO GO
Preparations are well underway for our Warami Art Trail on Tuesday 19 September 2023. The event is open to family and friends of Rozelle and will include an illuminated art installation on the front of the school, along with performances from students. The nature of the event is a walking trail with 2 designated performance spaces. Although there will be displays on the ground floors of buildings, the trail will include displays on the upper floors, with stairs to navigate. Prams and strollers will need to be left outside the buildings.
Next week, the school will communicate the performance schedule including times. Visitors are welcome to stay for the entire time or simply walk the trail and leave. Parents and carers are asked to walk the trail with their children and supervise closely. This is not an event where children are able to play on the Tiger Turf or Basketball court.

END OF DAY PICK UP
Over the past few months there has been an increasing number of children remaining in the playground after school. Generally they are with their parents playing on the equipment and basketball court. We do ask that parents closely supervise their children and leave the playground before 3.30pm as OSHClub access these spaces.
HEALTH ALERT
The school has been notified of the following childhood infections in our school community: Slapped Cheek, Conjunctivitis and Head Lice. These infections are not uncommon in school’s particularly in the Preschool to Year 2 environments. To help reduce the spread of infection students should not attend preschool or school until symptoms have cleared. Included is a link to NSW Health which has up to date information on a range of early childhood infections, their symptoms, treatments and the necessary prevention to minimise further spreading.

Y-SAFE ONLINE SAFETY HUB - TIK TOK REVIEW
Rozelle families have access to the Y-Safe Online safety hub. The hub supports the school community by providing practical insights and advice directly from Online Safety & Digital Wellness Experts. This fortnight, I recommend parents take the time to read the review of Tik Tok, the popular social media platform.
