Principal's Message - Kim Fraser

What an incredible Christmas Concert we had this year! The kids truly knocked it out of the park with their performances. It was heart warming to see so many families come together and celebrate as one community. A huge thank you to Mr. Howesmith, Mr. J, and all our amazing staff who helped bring this magical event to life! To top off a spectacular week of festivities, the Kindy Christmas Concert melted our hearts with their performance of several songs. The cuteness factor was off the charts, and the smiles on their families' faces said it all.

We’d like to give a heartfelt thank you to Mr. Paul, our Chaplain, who will be leaving us. Your presence as part of the CPS team has been truly valued, and we are so grateful for the care, support, and kindness you’ve shown to our students. On behalf of all the students, staff, and families, we wish you all the very best on your new adventure.

We also farewell Mr Pollard who is taking on a new adventure in Sydney, we wish you all the very best, you will be missed! We warmly welcome three new teachers for 2025. Mr Burke, Ms Townsend and Ms Pradera. I know everyone will make them most welcome on our return next year.

As we approach the final week of the school year, it’s a bittersweet time for our Year 6 students, staff, and our parents. This marks the end of their primary school journey as they move on to "big school." We know many are feeling a mix of excitement and nerves about what’s ahead. To the parents for whom this chapter is ending, we want to express our heartfelt thanks for entrusting us with your wonderful children. They have truly been a joy to have as part of the CPS family. We wish you all the very best as you embark on the next chapter of the teenage years—good luck! 😊

Today, we gathered for our Awards and Leadership Assembly to celebrate the exceptional achievements of our students. These well-deserved awards reflect their hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence. It’s a privilege to acknowledge their accomplishments!

I would also like to take a moment to express my deep appreciation for everyone who plays such an important role in the heart and soul of CPS:

  • Our students – You are simply amazing and continue to inspire us all with your creativity, energy, and kindness.
  • The School Board – Thank you for your unwavering support and dedication to shaping the future of CPS. Your contributions have been instrumental in our school’s growth and success.
  • The P&C and all the parents who volunteer – Your involvement has made a huge difference to our school. From fundraising to community events, your support has provided our students with countless opportunities to shine.
  • The DUCKs team – A special shout-out to Lex Brickland, ‘The Grand Master Duck,’ and Daniel Romano for your dedication in growing the DUCKs into the wonderful group it is today. Thank you to Jono Francis, Tom Bromberger, and Natalie Romano for your ongoing support. Your hard work and care have made a lasting impact, and we’ll never forget your contributions as you move on from CPS.
  • Our staff – Thank you for your incredible commitment to nurturing and guiding our students. Your passion, dedication, and tireless effort have been the backbone of everything we’ve achieved this year. We are so grateful for all that you do!

As we close out this year, I want to send my deepest thanks to each and every one of you for making CPS the warm, supportive, and vibrant community it is. We are incredibly lucky to have such a wonderful group of people, and I look forward to what the new year will bring.

From all of us at CPS we wish you all a joyful and restful holiday season!
