TERM 3 WEEK 8 - 13 SEPTEMBER 2024

Principal

The Tell Them From Me (TTFM) survey is open again. This survey is an opportunity for you to provide feedback about our school. We are committed to listening to our community to ensure that Moruya Public School is a great place to learn. The survey will only take a few minutes and can be accessed at: http://nsw.tellthemfromme.com/26mps28

The beginning and end of the school day are busy times for both pedestrians and drivers. To ensure the safety of everyone please:

  • Drop your child off and pick them up on the school side of the road or use the pedestrian crossings when crossing the road
  • Never call out to your children from across the road - it is very dangerous
  • Always take extra care in 40km school zones
  • Follow all parking signs - these help keep your child as safe as possible
  • Park responsibly even if it means you have to walk further to the school gate
  • Never double park - it is illegal and puts children at risk
  • Never do a U-turn or a three point turn outside the school as it puts children at risk of harm
  • Model safe and considerate pedestrian and driver behaviours to your child
  • Ensure children exit the car when it is parked and not in the middle of the road

This Saturday we will hold our Election Day cake stall. Thank you to everyone who is able to support our P&C whether it is baking or assisting at the stall. It is greatly appreciated.

P&C News

Our P&C have been very busy the last few weeks organising some amazing events.

1. We are holding a Cake Stall on Saturday 14 September for the local election that will be held at Moruya Public School. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the amazing bakers that have donated all the yummy goodies you will be able to purchase on Saturday, the stall will be set up as you exit the school hall.

2. End of Term Disco, due to the increasing costs involved in holding a movie night we have had to change this event to a school disco instead, we know the students always enjoy a school disco and this time we will have the canteen open to purchase drinks and snacks.

3. In term 4 we will be holding a School Colour Run, watch this space for more details but each student will be set up with the opportunity to win some great prizes based on donations they can bring in.

All the events the P&C hold are to raise funds to go back into the school community, next year the P&C will help fund the Whole School Musical which is a wonderful experience for all students.

We hope to see as many families as possible support these upcoming events.
