Week 7 - Term 4, 2024

Message From The Principal

Dear Parents and Carers

THANK YOU FOR YOUR GENEROUS CONTRIBUTIONS

We are excited to share some wonderful news with you! Over the years, our school’s voluntary contributions in 2023 came from 15 families, with a total contribution of $500. However, this year, we have been truly overwhelmed by your incredible support, with a total of 50 families and $2000 contributed.

This generous increase makes a huge difference to our school community. It directly impacts the resources we can provide for our students, as well as the additional opportunities and experiences we can offer them throughout the year.

We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to all the families who have contributed. We truly appreciate your commitment to our school. Together, we are making a positive impact on our students’ education and experiences.

END OF SCHOOL YEAR ATTENDANCE

As we approach the final three weeks of the school year, we want to remind all families of the importance of maintaining regular attendance during this crucial time. While we know that the end of the year is a busy period, it is essential that your child continues to attend school every day to ensure they finish the year strong.

Each day of learning is important as we wrap up key lessons and prepare for the upcoming year. Consistent attendance ensures that your child doesn't miss out on valuable learning opportunities, and it also helps them stay engaged and connected with their peers.

We understand that sometimes there are unavoidable circumstances that may impact attendance, but we ask for your continued support in prioritising your child’s presence at school. Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us make the final weeks of this school year a successful and enriching time for all our students.

COLOUR RUN

A big thank you to our P&C for the wonderful day at the colour run last Thursday. The students and teachers enjoyed the day and even the downpour at the end couldn’t dampen their excitement. Thank you to all our volunteer parents that gave up their time to set up and disperse the colour. The student donations totalled over $9000. Thank you to all the families that made profiles for their children and helped raise the funds. Thank you also to the Fire Brigade for joining us on the day to dampen the students and bring that element of extra fun. We appreciate your time.

Swap It

SWAP IT is an evidence-based, healthy lunchbox program for primary schools. The program supports parents and carers to SWAP what is packed in their child’s lunchbox from sometimes foods to everyday foods.

The food children consume at school impacts their concentration, health and wellbeing. By improving lunchboxes, we can make a huge difference! The school lunchbox contains approximately one third of a child’s daily energy intake – a significant opportunity to improve nutrition and health outcomes.
