Autumn has arrived! It doesn't feel like it yet, but I am sure we will be soon looking for our slippers in the morning and packing a jacket for the evenings. Autumn is a beautiful season at NLHIS, with all of our trees on Marshall street changing colour and dropping their leaves.

Our first assembly was very exciting today and our leaders Eli, Alice and Rose did an amazing job. They did not even seem nervous! Photographs of this week's award recipients are below. 

We have a few upcoming events that I would like to remind you about:

Wednesday 6 March 7pm. P&C Annual General Meeting (AGM). At this meeting all executive positions will be vacated and are open for nominations.  This year we are especially looking for a new treasurer.  If you are interested in nominating yourself for an executive position, please send an email with who you are and what position you'd like to nominate yourself for to nlhipandc@gmail.com.

Saturday March 9. 9am - 12pm. Working Bee. If you have a spare hour to drop in we have lots of weeding to do, cleaning up and painting of the mud kitchen and creek area and finishing off the gorgeous mural. There will be a sausage sizzle for lunch too! 

Thursday 21 March. Harmony Day. Mrs Dowman is busy organising activities for this special day. We will send more information home early next week. 

Thursday 28 March. Grandfriends and Easter Hat. More information will come home early next week. For now, over the weekend if you are out shopping and see something (eggs, colouring books, stickers etc) to donate to the P&C Easter raffle we would greatly appreciate it. All donations go to the office.
