Hallett Cove East Primary School - Annual General Meeting

Monday 3rd March 2025 at 7pm, School Resource Centre

We extend an invitation to our community to attend our school’s AGM. We also encourage all parents to nominate for the Governing Council in 2025. Membership of Governing Council is a great way to participate in discussions about a variety of school issues, meet other parent and staff representatives and to learn how the school operates. Council meetings are held twice per term, usually in weeks 4 and 8 and you are welcome to join the meetings, either in person or online. We really value parent perspectives and are really keen to hear from you on whole school matters through our Governing Council.

Please collect a nomination form from the school’s front office.

A FEW WORDS FROM THE DEPUTY PRINCIPAL

A warm welcome back to all of our wonderful students, families, and staff at Hallett Cove East Primary School! We hope everyone had a restful and enjoyable break, and we are excited to kick off another fantastic year of learning and growth.

A special welcome goes out to our new families and students who have joined our school community. We’re so glad to have you with us and look forward to getting to know each and every one of you. We know that you will quickly feel at home here, and we’re excited to be part of your educational journey.

Our students have settled back into their classrooms with enthusiasm and energy. It’s been wonderful to see them engaging with their learning, and reconnecting with friends, SSOs and teachers.

We look forward to a year full of growth, new experiences, and a continued commitment to fostering a supportive and engaging environment for all of our students to thrive!

Kind regards,

Robyn Physick

Deputy Principal

A FEW WORDS FROM OUR WELLBEING LEADER

Welcome to 2025!

We are thrilled to be working with The Resilience Project again this year to support the wellbeing of our students.

As part of this initiative, students will engage in one lesson per week focused on developing key wellbeing skills. The Resilience Project promotes Gratitude, Empathy, and Mindfulness (GEM), alongside Emotional Literacy—all of which are proven to help students build resilience, manage life’s challenges, and enhance their overall wellbeing.

We know that the more these practices are embedded in our daily lives, the greater the improvement we will see in our overall wellbeing. We encourage you to familiarise yourself with this program so you can engage in meaningful conversations with your children and perhaps develop some wellbeing strategies for yourself and your family.

Below are some ways to access the Parent Hub and resources.

We look forward to sharing our learning and growth in the Wellbeing space throughout the year. Stay tuned for updates!

Kind Regards,

Ellie Burford

FINANCE INFORMATION FROM OUR BUSINESS MANAGER

Welcome to the 2025 School Year.

A poll of the school community was conducted at the end of the 2024 school year which overwhelmingly resulted in our families agreeing to the 2025 Materials and Services Charge being set at the core charge of $365 for Reception to Year 7 students, this amount is known as the ‘prescribed sum’.

In week 3 families will receive via email, their 2025 materials and services charge invoice of $365, an incursion/excursion levy invoice for $60 and a STATEMENT of your account.  SA families with children attending public school will receive a $200 discount per student on their annual M&S charge.

Please read your STATEMENT CAREFULLY and pay only the balance of your STATEMENT.  We will apply your discount (as well as balance of credits from 2024) to your invoices on payment.

If you intend on applying for School Card in 2025 please do so NOW and do not pay your invoice. You will be notified of your eligibility.  The 2025 school card applications can be submitted online, please click here to complete your application ASAP.

To allow us to provide the quality program and resources that we have planned for the students in 2025, we ask for these invoices to be settled within 14 days. We provide several payment options, QKR App (our preferred option), EFTPOS, cash or a 24/7 BPOINT payment option via our school website.  We also have an online direct debit payment option which allows our families and caregivers to select regular payment option to be deducted from a selected bank account or credit card on a weekly/fortnightly or monthly basis. If you would like to take up this option please complete the application online via the school website. Details on how to access the Qkr App are available via the school website https://halcoveeps.sa.edu.au/parents/qkr/

Should you have difficulty with settling your account please contact the school finance officer to put a payment plan in place.

Kind Regards

Imelda Jolly
