Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome back to Term 4! We hope you and your children had a restful break and are feeling refreshed and ready for what promises to be a busy and exciting term ahead. I will be relieving as principal for the next couple of weeks while Mrs Gillmore takes some well-deserved leave following the recent loss of her mother. We send our heartfelt support to Mrs Gillmore during this time.
It’s wonderful to see the sun shining again! We would like to remind all students about our hat policy: children must wear a school-approved hat or a plain black hat when outside. If they do not have a hat, they will be required to play only in the shade to stay protected from the sun.
There are many fun and exciting events coming up this term, with the Year 5/6 excursion to Milson Island being a standout highlight for our primary students. Additionally, we will be celebrating Grandparents Day in Week 3 — details will be shared shortly.
Well Done to Tanner Dean, Myah Burnette, and Elijah Barnes for representing our school at the Western Athletics Carnival in Dubbo — we are so proud of you!
Congratulations to Noah Hunter, Jyrell Butfield, and Samuel Small for having their artwork selected to represent NSW public schools in the 2025 Nagoya Sister City Art Exchange. This is a wonderful achievement and a true recognition of your talent and creativity. Your artworks—“Toucan,” “The Australian Bush,” and “The Dish”—showcase the unique perspectives and artistic skills that make you stand out. We are very proud of you and look forward to seeing your contributions celebrated internationally!
Finally, congratulations to Tanner Dean, our Village Voice Student of the Month, recognised for his outstanding success in Athletics!
We’re excited for a fun and busy Term 4 ahead and can’t wait to warmly welcome Mrs Gillmore back later in the term.!
