LEADERSHIP CORNER

ACADEMIC REPORTS

Reports are due to be sent out to families on Wednesday 5 July.

Due to popular demand we will continue to print main copies of reports, and an electronic copy will be sent via email to PG1 email address. You are always able to access your child's previous reports via the Sentral parent portal.

For separated families :please email Rachel Roe - rachel.roe536@schools.sa.edu.au with your child's full name and class and she will email you a PDF copy.

When you review your child’s report remember to reward the effort, discuss the strengths, celebrate successes and be proud of how they have improved. Individual growth for each child is at the heart of our school improvement and we see this progress evident in their detailed comments and personal reflections.

RECEPTION ENROLMENTS 2024

We have a large number of students who have currently expressed interest to enrol their child in Reception 2024 - Term 1 & 3 intakes.

We request families, especially those with siblings or living in zone, complete a registration of interest as soon as possible. First round of offers for those in zone or with siblings are sent to families at the start of Term 3. Subsequent offers are sent in week 6, September, Term 3 for all out of zone registration of interest families.

JAPANESE CORNER

JAPANESE QUIZ DAY

On Thursday 15th of June,  Chelsea, Anastasia, Kelsie, Austin, Diar, Joel, Blade and Tiago represented West Lakes Shore School in the Japanese Quiz Day at Education Centre, Milner Street, Hindmarsh.

This special event is organised by the Japanese Teachers' Association of South Australia where students from across Adelaide participate.

Our students did an amazing job show casing their Japanese language skills, especially reading and writing the Hiragana (Japanese writing script) and Kanji characters. It was a great opportunity for our students to further extend their Japanese language and cultural knowledge.

Chelsea, Kelsie and Anastasia's Team won second position in the competition. Yokudekimashita! (Well done)

We also thank our wonderful parents, Bree and Dorothy who helped us in transporting the students from and to school. Really appreciated your help and support!
