Pre-Service teachers from the University of Newcastle

This term we have some pre-service teachers visiting from the University of Newcastle.

Olivia Robertson is on 5E from Week 2 till Week 6.

Janice Wang is on 6M from Week 2 till Week 6.

Miss Robertson and Miss Wang are on their final placement.

We will have some visiting pre-service teachers in 2A, KH and KF starting on Monday 5th June, who will be undertaking their first placement with us.

Thank you to the amazing teachers at Edgeworth Heights who open their classrooms to share their knowledge and expertise. We are sure all the pre-service teachers will have a valuable experience at our school.

Early Stage 1 Highlights

Harmony Club

Girls 12 Years and under AFL Championships

Last week Indiah T attended the AFL All Girls State Championships in Batemans Bay.

She played 7 games in total representing Mid North Coast and Inlands across 2 days making for a very busy schedule. After losing their first game against  Metropolitan East they won the next 5 games.

There was a nervous wait while Metropolitan East played against Metropolitan West. The girls needed Metropolitan West to win so they could progress to the final. Luckily Metropolitan West won and the Mid North Coast and Inlands made it through to the final to play against Metropolitan West.

The final was a tough game with Indiah and the rest of the girls from Mid North Coast and Inlands prevailing as champions. Well done to Indiah, a fantastic achievement!

Hunter PSSA Soccer Trials

Last week Nate A took part in the Hunter Soccer Boys trials. There was a lot of competition for spots and standard was reported as being very high. Nate played well on the day and showed he can compete with the best while showing great sportsmanship. Well done to Nate on a great effort.
