As we embrace the vibrant energy of this term, I would like to take a moment to congratulate all our students who participated in the recent Athletics Carnival. Your enthusiasm and sportsmanship were truly inspiring, showcasing not only your athletic abilities but also the spirit of teamwork and community involvement. It is wonderful to see so many students engaging in sports and seizing opportunities to develop their skills, build friendships, and represent our school with pride. A heartfelt thank you to the organising teachers whose dedication made this event possible. Your hard work did not go unnoticed!
This week, we also had the privilege of hosting the Multicultural Perspectives Public Speaking Competition, with participants from Batemans Bay to Eden. I am thrilled to announce that our school won both the Stage 2 and Stage 3 competitions, and we received a highly commended for our efforts! Congratulations to Mirra and Zarlee, who will now progress to the regional finals. The hard work and dedication of all involved students truly paid off, and we are incredibly proud of you.
In addition to these fantastic achievements, we welcomed a group of 12 Directors from the Department of Education last week. It was a pleasure to showcase our school, and I was delighted to receive an email thanking our community for its warm hospitality. Our catering crew did an outstanding job preparing for the event, leaving a lasting impression on our visitors. Thank you to everyone involved in making this occasion a success!
Looking ahead, I would like to remind parents about the upcoming parent-teacher interviews. Bookings are available on School Bytes, and reports will be sent home one day prior to the interviews. This will provide you with ample time to review your child's progress. I have taken the time to read every child's report, and I am pleased to see the progress and positive engagement with learning across the board. It is a joy to witness our students thriving!
As the mornings become cooler, please remember to send your children to school with a labelled jumper. If any families need assistance with uniforms, do not hesitate to contact the office. We are here to support you.
Thank you for your continued support and involvement in our school community. Together, we are fostering an environment where our students can flourish.
