Dear Jamberoo Public School Community,
Kindness and Respect
As you all know, the whole school focus for this year has been on celebrating and acknowledging individuals who consistently care for others and demonstrate kindness. It has been fantastic to reward and commend our wonderful students who always put the needs of others before their own.
Over the last few weeks, the school has particularly concentrated on students being kind and respectful to casual teachers and any adults who work/volunteer in the school. This is something that the majority of Jamberoo students do very well. Visiting teachers/volunteers consistently comment on how friendly and polite Jamberoo learners are.
Whilst being kind to visitors is something many students do well, it is something I believe we can improve upon. Please encourage your child/children to be respectful to all members of the school community. Working together will ensure Jamberoo children have the social and life skills of being able to get along with others, empathy and respect for everyone.

Also, Mrs Galea has vey generously agreed to take on the role as the Assistant Principal for the remainder of the term.
Thank you to Mrs Green, Mrs Peade and Mrs Galea for consistently stepping up and for putting the needs of Jamberoo students at the forefront of all decision making.
Sports News
On Monday 5th June the boys’ soccer team participated in the second round of the NSW PSSA Soccer Knockout. After a convincing victory in round one against Windang Public School, the boys were up against a worthy opponent in Mt Terry in round two. After falling behind early, the Jamberoo boys were able to rally and score a couple of goals. Unfortunately, after a valiant effort, the end result was a victory to Mt Terry Public School, 8 to 2.
The school is very proud of the achievements of the team and thank them for their fantastic sportsmanship and behaviour during the knockout. A big thank you also goes to the parents who provided lifts and supported the team on the day, and to the amazing Miss Alpen and Mrs Peade who coached and managed the boys.
Athletics Coaching
Due to the kindness and generosity of the school’s P&C, the school has engaged Mr Ian Hatfield to provide all Jamberoo students with athletics training.
Unfortunately, Mr Hatfield has been forced to postpone the long jump session which was planned for yesterday, it will now be conducted on Monday 19th June.
Please find below the schedule for the last two athletics coaching sessions:
14th June - shot put
19th June – long jump
It is a perfect lead in for all of our students to the athletics carnival which will be held on Wednesday 21st June.
King’s Birthday Public Holiday
A reminder that Monday June 12th is the King’s Birthday Public Holiday, meaning there is no school on that day. I hope you all enjoy your long weekend.
2024 Enrolments
If you, or anyone else you know, is planning on enrolling a child at Jamberoo Public School next year please get in contact with the school at your earliest convenience to organise enrolment forms.
School Bytes Portal
We are excited to announce our school is transitioning to an upgraded School Bytes Administration and Finance system.
What is the School Bytes portal?
School Bytes provides a parent portal to help your school communicate with you and complete administrative tasks.
Your school may use the parent portal for various things, including online permission notes, attendance, and payments, which can be accessed via a secure link. The School Bytes parent portal enables you to view all your children in one portal and process payments for multiple siblings in one transaction.
What do you need to do to be ready for 2023?
Parent Portal: Set up your parent portal account (if you don’t already have one).
Please note that Kiama High School currently already use this system so you may already have an account if you have students at the high school.
IMPORTANT: To ensure that the registration process works smoothly, and you can link your account to your child, make sure that you use the same email address that you have provided to the school or if using a different email address, an SMS verification code will be sent to the mobile number on record for you at the school.
How do I access School Bytes?
