I would like to welcome all students and parents back to school for 2026. We have had a wonderful start to Term One!

I would like to extend a warm welcome to our new staff members.

• Carrissa Sutherland-Scott in Yr 4/5.
• Simone Jones and Jessica Rode in Kindy and Pre-Kindy.

We would also like to welcome back Jess Silver (Performing Arts) and Hannah Herbert, (Year 6 on Fridays), who are both are returning to St Mary’s.

A very special Thank you to Hayley Billing who has provided a wonderful canteen service for the past two years. Hayley is taking a rest this year and we thank Jess Mills in advance for agreeing to step into the role.

Don’t forget our Welcome Back Function is 6pm tonight at the pool. I’d like to offer my apologies in advance as I’m unfortunately unable to attend due to a prior family commitment, but all are welcome to attend and enjoy the hospitality provided by our great P&F committee.

On Wednesday the 11th of February at 5.30pm parents from PP to Year 6 are invited to our Information evening. This is a chance for all parents to meet their child’s teacher and learn about what will happen in their class for the year. We look forward to seeing you there. 

The Beginning to Year Mass and Commissioning of our SAC & P & F will take place on Friday the 13th of February at 9am.

Everyone is welcome to attend.

Scholastic Book Club is back for 2026, Children will come home with Issue one and orders need to be placed by Wednesday the 18th of February. Orders can be placed online at scholastic.com.au/LOOP or the order form and correct cash can be dropped into the School office.

Canteen will begin in Week Three of Term One. 

We would like to welcome and thank Jess Mills from MJ's who has agreed to run the canteen for 2026. Canteen will remain on a Thursday and both recess and lunch will be available to order. Orders will need to be placed online through quickcliq before 1pm on the Wednesday. We will advise once ordering for week 3 is open. Thank you 

On Friday the 30th of January, staff attended mass. Thank you to Father Philip for leading the mass and commissioning our new staff. 

St Mary's School is part of the "Containers for Change" program. Please see the poster below for all the details. If you require a green bag to collect your cans, these are available from Mrs Riethmuller at the school.
