Reflection

This year is a Jubilee Year for the Catholic Church. Jubilee years are a time of newness. They have been celebrated throughout the history of the Church, but their roots go back to the Old Testament, when the Israelites were commanded to celebrate a jubilee every 50 years. For the 2025 Jubilee Year, Pope Francis invites us to reflect on what it means to be pilgrims of hope.

 ICY POLES

Icy poles are available for students to purchase each Wednesday for $1. Many thanks to Kim Gleeson who purchases the icy poles on behalf of the Parents and Friends Association.

HOT WEATHER POLICY

As a Sunsmart school we require all students to wear their  school hat when they are outside during terms 1 and 4. Of course students have the option to wear their hat during term 2 and 3. Should the temperature reach 34 degrees students will remain indoors during recess and lunchtime. We have already activated the 34 degree rule a few times this term.  A reminder that students need to apply sunscreen before coming to school. It’s important that the students bring along sunscreen to school so that they can reapply during the day.
