Plattsburg Public School Newsletter

March 2024, Term 1 Week 7

A Message from the Principal

We're excited to share some exciting updates about lunch play activities, thanks to the fantastic suggestions from our students! In response to their feedback, we've introduced some new engaging options, including large board games and a super-sized 'Connect Four' game. Additionally, we're thrilled to announce the formation of a 'Rubik's Cube Club', where students can challenge themselves with the timeless puzzle.

But wait, there's more! Get ready for some creative fun as we introduce friendship bracelet making in the near future. Plus, one of our senior students will be leading soccer training sessions, showcasing leadership and passion for the sport. Not to be outdone, two groups of boys have taken the initiative to organise their own 'Spike Ball' teams, demonstrating teamwork and enthusiasm.

We're truly grateful for our students' innovative ideas, their willingness to share them, and their proactive approach to turning ideas into action. It's inspiring to see our school community come together to create exciting opportunities for fun and learning during lunch playtime. Let's keep the creativity flowing and continue making our school a vibrant and engaging place to be!

For existing Plattsburg Public School students, please contact the office team for your Access Key via email or telephone.

For new students to Plattsburg Public School, you will be provided with your Access Key when your child's enrolment has been finalised. This is usually within 1-2 weeks of them starting.

If more than one person in your family would like to register you will each need your own access key. Just contact the office team and we will get that to you.

There is going to be an interruption to our online payment option, our systems will be offline from March 11th to March 19th. POP payments will not be available during this period. Once the upgrade is complete the new modules will:

  • Integrate fully and seamlessly with the Sentral for Parents Portal and App.
  • Allow you to sign permissions and make payments at the same time to provide an even more efficient way of handling your child's school finances.

In preparation for the transition, we will be required to implement a short payment lockout period where we will not be able to receive any online or EFTPOS payments.

What this means for you

  • No payments can be made online or via EFTPOS for now
  • We will advise you when payments can resume
  • All previous payments made will be migrated to the new Sentral finance system and parent portal

Thank you for your support and understanding during this payment blockout period.
