Dear Jamberoo Public School Community,
School Production - Pantocrime
The whole school is still excited and buzzing about last week’s production. The staff and students put a lot of time and practice into preparations and the show was absolutely sensational! Thank you to the many parents and families who supported the show and ensured that both nights were well attended. All money raised has been put back into the performing arts. A huge thank you to Mrs Behl-Shanks, Mrs Green and Mrs Peterson for the huge amount of time and effort you all put in to create such an amazing show!
Celebrating Jamberoo Public School
Term 3 has been busy, hectic and at times a bit crazy! However, the school has always kept its focus on what is important, our students. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff at Jamberoo for the unbelievable amount of work they put in and the time they sacrifice with their families to ensure that the students of Jamberoo have every opportunity possible to participate in all aspects of the school and extracurricular curriculums.
The staff at Jamberoo go above and beyond for our students. Organising activities for our wonderful students takes a lot of time, planning and organisation. Staff are responsible for booking transport, organising permission notes, completing risk assessments, collecting money, communicating with parents and many other tasks. Listed below are some of the events and activities the students of Jamberoo Public School have participated in.

There will also be preschool visits occurring in Week Four of next term where the preschool students will be having lunch and engaging in fun activities with our wonderful students throughout the week (11am-12pm). The dates are listed below:

Walking Bus
A reminder to all parents and carers that if you are waiting for your child/children at Kevin Walsh Oval at the end of the school day, please be visible. Positioning yourself on the grass area between the basketball court and the car park is a perfect location. This provides the teacher walking the students and the students themselves the opportunity to clearly see parents/carers and then safely walk over to you. Thank you for your understanding with this matter.
School Holidays
This Friday 22nd September is the last day of Term 3. Staff and students return to school on Monday 9th October. The staff and students deserve a well-earned break. Please be safe and remain injury free. I’m looking forward to seeing all our happy smiling students return to school without any plaster, bandages or crutches next term. When you’re bored-read, when you have nothing to do-read, before you go to bed-read. It is the best thing parents can tell their children to do.
Principal’s Award
This term the Principal’s Award was handed out to students who demonstrated the attributes of respect and kindness. These traits, the school believes, are very important for our students to get along with others and be the best they can be.
So far this term there have been ten students who has been acknowledged for their high levels of respect and kindness.
Winter Morgan Bailey Southwell Laura Henson Zane McArthur
Indi Probert Mitchell Mitrevski Ava Thatcher Sadie Rimmer
Sofia Donaldson Evie Stearn
Who will be receiving a Principal’s Award at tomorrow's assembly? Be there to find out!!!
Share Our Space
As part of the Community Use of School Facilities Policy, School Infrastructure NSW (SINSW) is rolling out the Share Our Space Program to open school playgrounds, ovals and sports courts for general use over the Christmas school holiday period. Jamberoo Public School has been selected to run the Share Our Space Program, which means our school will be open to the general public. Our ovals and basketball court can be utilised by the Jamberoo community during the upcoming holidays. Starting on Monday 25th September 2023 and ending on Sunday 8th October 2023, the school will be open each day during the holidays from 8am to 5pm. Our buildings will be locked, alarmed and secured. We encourage families to utilise our beautiful school during the holidays for picnics, exercise and quality family time.
The school will be unsupervised, so I encourage all of parents to supervise their children if they are on school grounds during the holidays.
Daylight Savings
Don’t forget that during the holidays we start Daylight Savings again. Officially on Sunday October 1st (which is the middle weekend of the holidays) clocks move one hour forward from 2am to 3am.
2024 Enrolments
If you, or anyone else you know, is planning on enrolling a child at Jamberoo Public School next year please get in contact with the school at your earliest convenience to organise enrolment forms.
