A warm welcome back to everyone for the start of Term 2.  Teachers and administration/support staff will be on site tomorrow participating in Professional Learning throughout the day.  Should you need to contact the school, please send a short email and staff will respond as soon as able.

We look forward to welcoming students back on Tuesday 30 April for a busy and productive term ahead.

Staffing Update

KM Update - KM students together with school staff farewelled their teacher Miss Maddie Maguire on the last day of Term One as she was successful in obtaining a permanent teaching position at another school. While it was sad to say goodbye to Miss Maguire, we genuinely wish her all the best and congratulate her on her appointment.

As we move into Term 2, we welcome back Mrs Jessie Andersen, a very experienced and capable teacher, who will be returning to us after being on maternity leave. Mrs Andersen will be joined by Mrs Rebecca Freedman who has been working at Lambton Public School over the last 12 months, most recently on one of our Stage 3 classes and we are thrilled that she will be joining us again in Term 2 to work with some of our younger students. Together, Mrs Andersen and Mrs Freedman will be teaching KM and we are confident they will continue to provide KM students with quality classroom instruction as they foster a positive learning environment for  the students.

Mrs Buckingham returns to 5/6B - We are thrilled to announce Mrs Buckingham will return to the classroom with her class 5/6B and we welcome back Mr Gavin Palmer each Thursday to provide library and administration support.

Opportunity Class Placement - Year 5 2025

Applications open 4 April and close 20 May 2024 for Opportunity Class Placemen Year 5 2025.

What are opportunity classes?

Opportunity classes are one of the ways the NSW Department of Education supports high potential and gifted students. Most students in opportunity classes enjoy learning with peers who have similar abilities and interests.

The nearest Opportunity Classes to Lambton Public School include New Lambton South PS, Tighes Hill PS & Maryland PS.

Students successfully placed attend the opportunity class full time in Years 5 and 6 and in most cases, students who have accepted a place in an opportunity class will leave their current school to attend the school with the opportunity class.
