We had amazing dancers, confident speakers and actors, hilarious comedy roles, fantastic foley sound effects crew, super musicians on piano and drum kit and much more!  Congratulations to Lara Seaton for her solo dance performance feature.  Extra thanks to the Davis and Gardner families for use of their trailers and time and to all the families that stayed back to clear the stage in record time! Thanks to the teachers and other staff who came to support in various ways.

Prep S2S Hike

Our Exciting Hike Adventure

On Wednesday 30th October All the Preps went on a big adventure! With our bags packed and our comfy shoes on, we made our way, on the bus to Carters Rd, and then walked to Mirimbah, led by our brave and fearless leader, Miss Driessen. We were excited and maybe a little nervous, too, but we knew it would be fun.

As we walked, we used our senses to take in our surroundings. Tall trees, leaves rustling in the wind, loud cicadas chirping and the river rushing by made for some very interesting conversations. We pretended the dense tree canopy was a magical land, and the trees were big protectors, watching over us as we walked along the trail.

After a while, we stopped to have a snack. We drank water and ate our snacks. We were all a little tired but happy to rest and listen to the sounds of nature. Our final destination was lunch and a play in the playground.

By the time we got back, our legs and our bodies were tired. We all agreed that it was a day we’d never forget. The hike was an amazing adventure, and we felt proud of ourselves for exploring nature together!

Grade 1 S2S Hike

On the 25th October, the Year 1 students had a lovely time hiking between Carter's Road and Mirimbah. A big thank you to the parent helpers and Jen Driessen!

Grade 2 S2S Hike

Smile Squad

Dear Parents/Carers,

As you might be aware, we have had the School Dental Program - ‘Smile Squad’ – attend our school to give the students information on good dental health, undertake dental examinations and, where required, organise follow-up treatment. While the program is voluntary, many of you consented for your child/children to participate in the Smile Squad program.

To better understand the delivery of the Smile Squad program including benefits and challenges, an independent firm (Abt Global) has been engaged to evaluate the program. This is your opportunity to provide feedback on your experience of the program. If you didn’t consent for your child/children to participate in Smile Squad they are also keen to hear from you.  The evaluation team want to understand why you chose not to participate. So, whether you participated or not, this is an opportunity to provide feedback so that improvements can be made to the Smile Squad program.

To participate in the evaluation, you can complete a confidential 5–10-minute survey. The survey does not require you to provide any information to the evaluation team that identifies you, however the survey does ask what school your child/children attend. Here is the link to the survey.

We encourage you to participate in this short survey and provide valuable feedback on Smile Squad. If you would like to provide more detailed feedback to the evaluation team, please contact Eleanor at smilesquad_eval@abtglobal.com .
