St Mary's Newsletter

Term 3- Week 2 (1st August, 2025)

Dear St Mary's School Community,

Focus Value: : Faith

We believe in God and in each other.

Welcome

We farewell Ms DellaBosca and wish her well with her soon to be bundle of joy, and welcome Mrs Phillips to our St Mary’s community.

Back Carpark Changes

As our school grows, we are required to make subtle changes to our processes. One such change involves the long line that now extends often to South Ave during the week. Many parents have already worked out that they need to make two waiting lines in the Church carpark: one next to the fence and the other next to the line of trees as per the photo below and wait till their child appears. It’s NOT perfect, as was demonstrated yesterday (parents can’t actually SEE their child appear!!) But we’ll trial this system and adjust where necessary.

REA Test

Students involved in the REA test had their practice session this week and all went reasonably smoothly (as much as technology would allow!) Our NAPLAN results have been uploaded to the school database. Staff will analyse these over coming weeks, and I will release a statement on how St Mary’s students performed. Initial examinations indicate St Marys produced some very pleasing results overall.

Family Friday

We had another successful Family Friday today. Thank you to all family members who turned up and thank you to the teachers and students for preparing their activities. See below in our special events section for photos from this mornings event.

Audiri Update

Audiri has recently undertaken an update. It is recommended that parents/guardians make sure that they ensure that they have the latest version of the app and that all updates have been installed. If you are experiencing difficulties, you may need to uninstall and reinstall the Audiri app. Please come and see admin if you continue to experience issues.

Feast of Mary MacKillop Mass

All are welcome to attend our special Feast of Mary MacKillop Mass next Friday in the Church at 9am.

P&F Meeting

Likewise, everyone is welcome to attend and become part of our P&F group next Monday at 7pm.

School Review Feedback

The students, as with the staff, enjoy coming to school and being engaged in the learning opportunities that are provided each day.

God Bless

Mr H
