Drivers Needed

This term all Year 3-5 students will participate in district athletics on Tuesday 10th September at Tom Kelly Athletics Track, Rieschiecks Reserve, George Street, Doncaster.

We are looking for parent volunteers to transport students to and from school.

We would be leaving school at 9am and leaving the venue around 1.30pm.

We are only requiring assistance with transportation and don't need any parents to stay for the duration of the day. However you are more than welcome to stay if you wish.

If you are able to assist with transport on the day could you please let me know by Thursday 22nd August.

I also need to know the number of children you are able to transport. Thanks Jessi Wright

Teachers Professional Development

You would all be aware of the Professional Development that took place recently on a School Closure Day for Staff.

In addition, this week classroom teachers have undertaken a four week course - The Science of Language and Reading that takes place after school  to continue learning about best practices.

This supports an earlier course also over 4 weeks that teachers completed on the Science of Learning.

St Timothy's Staff are continually updating their knowledge and classroom practices  across multiple curriculum areas to provide a rich, rigorous and contemporary education for your child that is backed by research.

Parish Newsletter Saturday 10th August and Sunday 11th August

The Archbishop’s Campaign In 2024, the Archdiocese Development Office is introducing a streamlined approach to fundraising. This approach, called the Archbishop's Campaign, is a single annual campaign and will reduce the number of separate special Sunday plate collections in parishes each year.It is being done to support key Archdiocesan ministries in a streamlined way, reducing the number of times parishioners are asked to give each year and the number of times parish priests and staff are asked to collect donations. The focus of the 2024 campaign is support for the formation of new priests and for the care of retired priests—those who have served the community of faith in the past and those who will do so in the future.Tax-deductible donations go to the Archbishop's Charitable Fund, which supports Corpus Christi College Building Fund, Priests Retirement Foundation, John Pierce Centre, Melbourne Overseas Mission, University of Divinity Building Fund and other deductible gift recipient entities such as Catholic community agencies and service organisations.Non-deductible donations go to Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne Religious Projects Fund, which supports seminarian formation and evangelisation initiatives such as World Youth Day. Any unallocated and loose collections will go to Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne Religious Projects Fund. The Archbishop's Campaign will run over three weekends each August. The campaign will be officially announced to parishioners across the Archdiocese on 10 and 11 August. On 17 and 18 August, churchgoing Catholics will be asked during weekend Masses to commit to monthly giving to the Archbishop's Campaign. On the third weekend, 24 and 25 August, parishioners will be reminded to finalise their contributions. For more details go to - melbournecatholic.org/archbishopscampaign
