SPOTLIGHT ON...

6 BONGO!!!

Project That Shall Not Be Named | In 6 Bongo, we do a weekly lesson, where we get free rein to present and choose our topic. We get together in small groups, decide our topic and how we want to present it. My group of 4 are doing a play on Henry VIII’s six wives. At the end of each lesson, we get 5 minutes to reflect about what we did in the session and if we achieved what we wanted to. In our class, I can tell it is something we look forward to! - Arwen J

3/2 ANTILOCAPRA!!!

The entire school was lucky enough to attend the 24th Biennale of Sydney's, 'Ten Thousand Suns' exhibit at White Bay Power Station. 3/2A had an amazing day. Hear all about it from Zoe! | At Ten Thousand Suns, the first thing I saw was Aboriginal videos; they were all in black and white. We saw lots of abstract paintings on the bottom level. As we walked up the stairs, the first thing that I saw were these four paintings. Each one of the paintings were one of our four house colours! We saw a video of a skeleton playing a trombone, with birds flying around him. The skeleton changed colour! We walked into a tent that had televisions and headphones; we each took turns and saw some cooking videos and a tour of the art place. Our favourite things: Dot - the stacked cushions because it looked amazing stacked up and that they didn't fall; Duke - skeleton with trombone because I liked the music that came out the artwork; Mia - The hanging masks from the ceiling, they had lots of detail and I took inspiration to make something myself; Lane - the umbrellas because they looked cool and they were very colourful; Adam - the Xbox because it was like looking through virtual reality goggles; Maxwell - the Xbox because I got to play on it and it was interactive; Mischa - my favourite thing was going through the world in the xbox gaming section; Abigail - I loved seeing all the art and the different colours; Charlie - the pillows that were stacked on top of each other because they looked like Oreos; Ash - I liked how we got to do a game because it was exciting; Sovereign - I liked the videos with headphones because it was people learning to drive a car. We look forward to our excursion later in the term to the Chau Chak Wing Museum to learn more about Egypt!
