Plattsburg Public School Newsletter

March 2026, Term 1 Week 8

A Message from the Principal

As we move toward the end of a busy and productive term, I would like to take the opportunity to thank our students, staff and families for their continued support of Plattsburg Public School.

We are looking forward to our upcoming Athletics Carnival on Friday 27 March. This is always a wonderful day for our school community, giving students the opportunity to participate, challenge themselves and demonstrate great sportsmanship. We encourage all students to get involved, do their best and enjoy the day.

I would also like to acknowledge the exceptional teaching and learning taking place in classrooms across our school. Our teachers continue to demonstrate a strong commitment to explicit teaching practices, ensuring that lessons are purposeful, engaging and supportive of student success. I commend our students for the effort they are applying to their learning each day. Their focus, persistence and willingness to improve are a credit to themselves and their teachers.

It was also fantastic to celebrate Harmony Day together. Our students embraced the important message that everyone belongs, and it was wonderful to see our school community come together to recognise and celebrate diversity, inclusion and respect. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making the day such a success.

A reminder to families that we now have an onsite OOSH service available for our community. This is a great support for families requiring before and after school care. For more information about the service, including enrolment details, please contact the school office.

Finally, thank you to parents and carers for your support of our parent-teacher meetings next week. These meetings are a valuable opportunity to strengthen the partnership between home and school and to discuss each child’s progress and next steps in learning. We greatly value your involvement and thank you for making the time to connect with your child’s teacher.

Thank you again for your continued support of our school.
