Crafers Primary School

Newsletter 13 December 2024

From the Principal

Dear Crafers Community

What an unexpected end to the year with me writing the last newsletter article as Principal. I would like to thank the staff and community for the support given during this busy time of the year. The last three weeks have seen: the completion of reports, formation of new classes, aquatics camp, community night, year 6 graduation, transition, sports day, seniors’ assembly the choir singing in the city, swimming and as you can imagine a lot of back ground administrative work. Although busy, it is these activities which give our students memories that will last them for years to come. So much so that my own children, although in their thirties now, still reminisce of happy times at Crafers Primary School. And as it was then, as it is now, these happy memories are community and staff driven. This is just a short piece to say “thanks for the memories”.

We wish our year 6s as they take away their memories and move onto high school.

All the best for the Festive Season, keep safe and to those returning for 2025 we’ll see you in the new year.

All ongoing volunteers must do mandatory notification training and keep it current. This includes people on a governing council.

The training is called Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care. We call it RRHAN-EC for short.

As a volunteer, you only need to do the RRHAN-EC fundamentals course, which is free for you.

If you've done RRHAN-EC training you should have received a certificate. The expiry date is on that certificate.

If you completed your training between 2021 and 2023, your certificate will expire at the end of 2024. We are asking all volunteers to get ahead for 2025 and complete their online training now.
