Term 1 - Week 4 (27th February, 2026)

Dear St Mary's School Community,

Saint Catherine of Siena: "Nothing great is ever achieved without much enduring.”

Focus Value: : Responsibilty

We have a duty to be accountable to ourselves and to others.

New Playground

It’s been a big week in the playground. Our new $50,000 commercial-grade play set was unveiled as a direct result of some impressive work by St Mary’s P&F group.

The P&F was incredibly proud to officially unveil our new Funky Monkey playground equipment this week. It was a wonderful achievement, made possible by the dedication and generosity of our entire school community.

This project has not just been the result of the past 12 months of fundraising, but over five years of consistent effort by various P&F committees, colour runs, 2025 school fete, battery drive, annual footy tipping, raffles, and quiet behind-the-scenes work. Every bit of P&F fundraising has contributed to bringing this vision to life.

On behalf of the P&F, thank you to every family — past and present — who played a part. Your support has created a lasting space for fun, friendship and memories for our children for many years to come.

A big thank you to Kristy Sharp for organising and overseeing this project over recent months.

Thank you!!

Special thanks must be made to parent Jerome O’Malley for his hand in providing CBH help in keeping the Kindy cool in the last week of the school year AND for helping organise the painting of our carpark lines. THANK YOU Jerome and CBH.

Carpark

Can I ask that parents of children in Years 2-6 park out in the carpark behind the school. This will enable parents of our younger students to park close to the classrooms to ensure easy access.

Labour Day Public Holiday

A reminder that we have a long weekend this weekend, due to the Labour Day Public Holiday.  School will resume on Tuesday the 3rd of March.  If you are travelling, please drive safe.

NAPLAN

A reminder that NAPLAN begins on Wednesday March 11th for our Year Three and Five students.
