We have a very exciting week ahead at Plattsburg, filled with celebrations, achievements, and opportunities for our students.
First and foremost, we are looking forward to welcoming all our wonderful Fathers, Grandfathers and Father-figures to our Father’s Day Breakfast this Friday morning. It’s always such a special event for our school community, and we can’t wait to share this time together.
Our Jump Rope for Heart program continues at Plattsy, and it has been fantastic to see our students enthusiastically developing their fitness and skipping skills. We can’t wait to showcase their progress in the coming weeks.
I am also delighted to announce that Miss Evans will be staying on 5/6 for the remainder of the year. This will provide valuable continuity and stability for our students, and we know they will continue to thrive under her care and guidance.
This week, our Year 6 students will be attending their Taster Lessons at Callaghan College Wallsend Campus (CCWC). These lessons provide a wonderful opportunity for our students to experience high school learning in a supportive environment and to begin familiarising themselves with the setting they will soon be a part of.
Our Plattsburg School Values Drawing Competition is now underway, and we can’t wait to see the creativity of our students as they capture our school values through their artwork. This is always such a fun and meaningful activity that showcases the pride our students have in our school.
Last week, my Principal Positive Push was well received by many of our students. It was fantastic to see so many children taking on board the encouragement and striving to achieve their personal best. Well done Plattsy—you continue to make us proud!
We also wish the very best of luck to the students representing Plattsburg at the Public Speaking Finals this week. A special mention goes to Alice Hockings, who has achieved an outstanding result in making it to the State Finals of the Prime Minister’s Spelling Bee. This is an incredible accomplishment and a reflection of her hard work and dedication.
As always, please don’t hesitate to contact the school if you have any questions or require further information. Thank you for your continued support of our students and school community.
Regards,
Dave Hopson
Relieving Principal
