As we wrap up another busy and successful term, I would like to thank our staff, students, and families for their continued support and enthusiasm.
To finish Term 3, our school was buzzing with activity. We enjoyed our Jump Rope for Heart celebrations, where students showcased their skipping skills while raising awareness for an important cause. We also held our Daytime Disco, which was part of our end-of-term βSpottedβ Reward Day, celebrating the positive choices our students have made throughout the term. Both events were a wonderful reflection of the spirit and energy of our school.
Looking ahead, our Years 3β6 staff will be completing Sounds Write Professional Learning in Week 1 of next term. This program is an exciting step forward in literacy development at Plattsburg. We kindly ask families to remind students of this important professional learning, as it ensures that our staff can fully engage in the program. We are looking forward to embedding Sounds Write in all classrooms from 2025 and beyond to strengthen teaching and learning in reading and spelling.
Term 4 promises to be another exciting chapter, packed with a wide range of extra-curricular opportunities for all our students. We canβt wait to share more details with you early next term.
Please note that students return to school for Term 4 on Tuesday, 14th October. I hope all students and families enjoy a refreshing and well-deserved two-week break before we come together for a vibrant and productive final term of the year.
Thank you once again for your ongoing support of our school community.
Regards,
Dave Hopson
