We farewell Ann-Marie Ellis, Principal of Wasleys Primary School and thank her for the impact she has made on the school over her 5 years. Ann-Marie will be sorely missed by the whole Wasleys School community. We wish her all the very best for the future.
As families are aware, Carol Martin will be leaving Wasleys Primary School. She has been at the site for 3 years. We wish her well for her future teaching adventures.
We also farewell Cheryl Burr, our Science, Technology and HASS teacher for retirement. Enjoy your E-bike adventures Cheryl!
Lastly, we farewell Stacey Bailey classroom SSO. Stacey completed her training as an SSO at Wasleys, and has been at our school for the last 2 years. We wish her all the best.
Staffing 2025
In 2025, we welcome Miss Beth Materne as the JP Teacher and Mr Jimmy Ellis as our specialist PE Teacher and I will be teaching the Arts, as well as Japanese alongside Open Access. We welcome back SSO's Allison, Kim, Karen and Gail, as well as PCW Carli.
Year 6 Graduation
This week our three Year 6 students graduated Primary School, ready to embark on the next phase of their schooling in High School. I am tremendously proud of each of our students and the growth they have made throughout the year. Congratulations and best wished to Tom, Erikka and Seth. I hope you continue to live into the values of Wasleys Primary School, as well as your own, and pursue your dreams through hard work, resilience and determination.
EOY Concert
Thank you to families and friends for attending our EOY Concert this week. What a show it was! To staff and students, thank you for your hard work in learning your fabulous items, and for being brave on stage! You will see a thank you featured in this edition of the newsletter for the many businesses and people who donated items for our Christmas raffle. Thank you!
Reports
Reports went home on Wednesday this week, and a return slip was included for feedback for teaching staff. I would like to acknowledge the time and hard work of the teachers in writing reports. I hope you found the information contained in your child's report informative.
Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas
I want to sincerely wish all of our Wasleys school community a very Merry Christmas! I have thoroughly enjoyed this year and look forward to continuing our journey next year and beyond. Stay safe over the holidays, and we will see students and families when school reopens on Tuesday January 28th.
