Tell Them From Me Survey - Year 4 to 6

Tell Them From Me Survey - Year 4 to 6

Next term, our school is taking part in the Tell Them From Me student survey. The survey will provide us with valuable feedback on what our students think about school life, how engaged they are with school and the different ways that teachers interact with them.

The survey is run by an independent research company, The Learning Bar, which specialises in school-based surveys.

This survey is confidential, and staff in schools will not be able to identify individual students from their responses.

To ensure confidentiality, participating students will receive a unique username and password. Information is only reported where five or more students answer a question.

The survey is online, takes 15 to 30 minutes, and will take place at school during school hours. We will receive a report on our school’s survey results shortly after our students complete the survey.

Participating in the survey is voluntary. If any survey questions make your child uncomfortable, your child can skip the question or can choose to stop the survey at any time.

If you do not want your child/children to take part in the survey, please complete the attached form and return it to the school by Friday 22nd September, 2023

Stage 3 Camp Jindabyne

As a part of our outdoor education program for 2023, the senior students will participate in a 2-night camp at Jindabyne Sport and Recreation Centre, which is run by the NSW Office of Communities, Sport & Recreation. This facility and the programs it offer support learning in our Physical Education, Health and Personal Development Curriculum. It is recommended that all students attend. If children are unable to attend, then they will be catered for at school for the 3 days.

The camp will be held from the 23rd to the 25th October, Term 4, 2023. This opportunity provides students to celebrate the relationships they have built with their teachers and peers. It fosters collaboration, builds independence and meets curriculum requirements.

Permission notes are to be returned to school by Friday 22nd September.

Cadets Information - RFS

Young people form an important segment of our community and their participation as volunteers deliver a heightened sense of self-worth as well as developing their social responsibility and adding value to our society.  Tomorrows leaders are already within our own community. This is their opportunity to shine in a child-friendly environment.

What's on offer?

Sutton Volunteer Rural Fire Brigade is contemplating forming a Cadets group within the local Sutton Brigade regular monthly training sessions.

Who Qualifies?

Cadets are drawn from juniors who are not younger that 12 years old and generally attending high school. Once attaining 16 years, they may be considered for promotion within the Brigade as operational member upon completing the necessary training. Cadet membership provides cadets with access to full NSW RFS uniform, cover for workers' compensation and insurance, access to My RFS, and inclusion in all non-operational activities.

Any questions - please contact the Sutton Brigade Training officer, sutton trainingsutton@gmail.com or on 0407 488 888.
