Principal's News

Dear Families

What a way to finish off our Book week celebrations with our dress up day and parade! There was so much excitement, colour and jokes! Thank you to all that were involved in making this week such a success. Reading is truly magic!

Cadbury Fundraising

Thank you so much for everyone’s generous support with our Cadbury Fundraiser. As a school we raised just over $2600 which will go towards school improvement items such as upgrading our prep space and revitalising our breezeway. As promised, there is a prize for the family who sold the most chocolates - Congratulations to Matilda Gilbert and family on your tremendous effort! A prize is coming your way.

Lion’s Quiz

Last Thursday night, three of our senior students, Josh, Ned and Macy competed in the Lion's School Quiz at Dromana Primary school. The questions were in the three categories of spelling, mathematics and general knowledge. Six schools competed which included: Dromana Primary School, Eastbourne Primary School, Rye Primary School, St Joseph’s Sorrento, Tootgarook Primary and Our Lady of Fatima. It was a nail-biting finish and we won the tie breaker! Our team performed exceptionally well and took out the Perpetual Trophy. What an effort! We look forward to formally acknowledging these students at a future assembly.

MACSSIS

It is nearly time for our annual MACSSIS survey. This is a survey given to staff, students from Years 4-6 and randomly selected families to give a snapshot picture of our school. We use this data to help us to plan and get a pulse check of our community. Next Friday some families will receive a login and link to complete the survey. The survey is open from September 2nd.

RSL Commemorative Poetry Competition

Our Year 3-6 students are invited to participate in the RSL Commemorative Poetry Competition spearheaded by the Rosebud RSL club. Students in the Southern Peninsula will have the opportunity to honour the service and sacrifice of the brave Australians who have served; from the ANZACs in the first World War, right through to present day through poetry. Keep an eye out for further information.

Sports Day

Our rescheduled Sports Day is this Monday, 26th August. Please refer to the Audiri communication that went out today for the details!

Have a wonderful weekend!
