Grade 12 Written Expression Examinations
Source materials and instructions for candidates have been issued to all grade 12 students this week. They have one week to prepare before they sit the final Written Expression Paper next week Monday 4th August, 2025.
In the examination our students will be asked to produce two pieces of writing. They will be given 3 hours to write the two pieces.
The first piece of writing will be an expression of their opinion on the aspect of the topic they have prepared for with a word length of 350-550 words. This year the topic for the first question will be based on “Teaching and Learning in the age of Artificial Intelligence”. A good topic I presume.
The second piece will be an imaginative piece of writing in prose, which will not relate to the topic and does not have a specific length.
We want to wish all our year 12 all the best in this first English paper.
