We have a fun and busy term ahead with lots to look forward to.
OPEN EVENING
Our annual Open Evening is back on Monday 30th October. All members of the community are invited to attend and explore our transformed learning spaces and see ‘learning is fun’ in action across the school. See the attached flyer for further information.
Children will bring home a passport to ‘learning fun’ on the day to help you navigate the school.
At 6.00pm we ask all visitors to assemble in our Ngunyawayingka Courtyard as Petiola Wilson does a Welcome to Country and Smoking ceremony. Following this our school choirs perform and then classrooms will be opened from 6.30-7.30.
Our whole-school Art exhibition will be open in the gym from 5.30-6.00 and 6.30-8.00. Your child's artwork will be available to purchase on the night for 1 x $10, 2 x $15 & 3 x $20. It will be a wonderful night that showcases ‘Learning is Fun’, and we hope to see all families.
CONNECTED CURRICULUM - ‘From Little Things Big Things Grow’
Our whole school connected curriculum is focused on acts of kindness and the theme ‘From Little Things Big Things Grow’.. Teachers will soon be sending their Term 4 overview with key year level dates and we look forward to welcoming our community to many exciting events this term. Our first whole-school assembly is this Friday at 9.10am. Family members are welcome to pop in to the gym.
GRADUATION 2023
It is the final term of primary schooling for our large group of year 6s and what a journey it has been. Families of year 6 students should be sure to put Thursday 7th December into your calendars.
WORLD TEACHERS' DAY
The demands on our teachers are ever increasing and now, more than ever, we need to show them how much we appreciate what they do. Simple ways to show your appreciation can really make it all worthwhile to a teacher. A simple thank you, message of gratitude or a homemade card can make teachers feel special on World Teachers’ Day Friday October 27th.
Teachers, hats off to you!
