St Mary's Bulletin

Term 1 - Week 7 (20th, March 2026)

Swimming Carnival and Volunteers

Thank you to all who attended our fantastic Swimming Carnival on Wednesday, and we reserve a vote of thanks once again to Mrs Crees who organised the day.

Can I extend special gratitude to all our parent helpers. We appreciate the time you take to help out; we couldn’t do it without you!

Finally, can I make particular mention of the amazing children we have here at St Mary’s. It was incredibly obvious to those who took the time to note the warm, supportive nature of particularly our older children toward the younger swimmers. Time after time, I looked into the pool and watched the older students cheering, helping and generally supporting the younger students efforts to swim. As parents, you should be very proud of the children you are raising.

St Joseph's Day Mass

Well done to Miss Sutherland Scott, Mrs McDonald and the Year 4/5 class for organising a wonderful Mass yesterday.

Lifting Help

We would love someone to help load the Pin Up boards on and off the school trailer on THURSDAY (26th of March). Please let the front Office know if you can help out. Thank you!!

Family Friday & Harmony Day

Once again, it was wonderful to see so many family members visit us for Family Friday. Our Special Events Ministry and R.E. Leaders visited all our classes during the week and shared information with the other students about St Patrick's Day, St Joseph's Day and Harmony Day. Our Special Events Leaders also left Harmony Day activities with the classes to complete, which they later collected to complete the Harmony Day Tree. Well done to our Year Six Leaders for their preparation and leadership in our Harmony Day activities, especially the Harmony Tree that has been created.

Please see our special events section for all our Family Friday photo.

Lost Property

We have a couple of items missing after the swimming carnival on Wednesday. If anyone has seen a pair of brown and grey thongs with velcro straps or a pair of maroon sports shorts, please bring them to the front office. Thank you :)

God Bless!!

Faction Swimming Carnival

The Faction Swimming Carnival, held on Wednesday, was a fantastic celebration of school spirit, participation, and determination. It was wonderful to see such an incredible turnout, with the highest number of students we have ever had getting involved in events throughout the day.

Students demonstrated outstanding courage and determination, with many showing a willingness to step outside their comfort zones and simply have a go. The level of sportsmanship on display was equally impressive, as students cheered each other on and supported their teammates in every race.

There were some incredibly close finishes in the pool, making for an exciting and competitive atmosphere from start to finish. Every participant should be proud of their efforts and contribution to such a successful day.

Congratulations to all factions on their performances. The final results were: 3rd Place – Mackillop with 472 points 2nd Place – St Joseph’s with 508 points 1st Place – Salvatorians with 529 points
