Week 9 - Term 3, 2024

Message From The Principal

Dear Parents and Carers

CONCERT

We are thrilled to share how amazing our students were during last Wednesday's concert, "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego." Every child shone, whether through acting, singing or dancing. It was wonderful to see them all involved and having their moment in the spotlight.

A special shout-out to our wonderful SLSO’s for their incredible efforts in creating costumes, making alterations, and sourcing all the materials. Your creativity truly brought the show to life!

We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Fussell family for their contribution to the show. The giant camel they created was a showstopper and added so much to the performance.

An extra special recognition goes to the amazing Mrs. Hayes. Her creative vision as director, writer, and choreographer, along with her calm, organized and supportive guidance, was the backbone of this production. We couldn’t have done it without her!

Although it took a lot of effort, it was truly worth it to see our talented students shine. Thank you to everyone involved for making this event a memorable success!

ATTENDANCE

Students should be at school every day during school terms, including until the end of term, unless they are sick or are absent for a justified reason.

As the school term comes to an end, we wish everyone a safe and enjoyable holiday. We look forward to seeing you on the very first day back at school. #EveryDayMatters

Harlan is State Athletics Bound!

Congratulations to Harlan who qualified for the NSW PSSA Athletics Championships after a scintillating sprint down the 100m track at the Hunter Championships in the first week of September. He is the fastest 100m 8 year old runner in the whole region from Taree in the north, down to the southern end of Lake Macquarie and out west to the Upper Hunter. Mr Boucher's 2B class could be heard across the school as they watched his race live in their classroom.

We are extremely excited for him and wish him well for the next level of competition.

Cross Country and Athletics Awards 2024

Uniform Shop

As we will be changing our school uniform within the next year, we are discounting our current stock of Logo polo shirts, navy sport shirts, hats, zipper jackets and teflon jackets. All stock will be reduced to Buy 1 get 1 free. Stock of some sizes is limited, discounts will apply until sold out.

Please place orders through the front office.

School Contribution Charge

A great public school is made great with both the support provided by the Department of Education and the contributions made by the community. Schools also have the ability to enhance their educational and sporting programs by collecting school contributions from parents. This means funding for those extra resources to support programs to enhance the teaching and learning and ultimately the educational outcomes of our students. We have kept the level of voluntary contributions per year to $40 per student or $50 per family, to a minimum to make this contribution affordable to all.

Payments can be made in cash to the front office or by accessing School Bytes. You will find the contribution charge in your "Statement of Account".

Kindergarten Enrolments 2025

2025 Kindergarten enrolments are now due. If you have a child who will be starting next year, please contact the front office. Online enrolments can be accessed through the school’s webpage or the link below.
