Change to Exiting Procedures - Croudace Street

The school together with the P&C have spent many hours advocating for changes to the pedestrian lights on Croudace Street to ensure the safety of our students and their families. As a result an upgrade was carried out towards the end of last year resulting in the traffic lights being both upgraded and relocated and the width of the pedestrian crossing increased.

Commencing Monday 25 March, all students exiting on Croudace Street will exiting via the Koala gate only (adjacent to the traffic lights).

The Rosella Gate (adjacent to Canteen) will no longer be opened at 3:00 pm.

Parents, carers and students are to ensure they cross Croudace Street at the traffic lights and walk within the dedicated lines.  We would appreciate parents and carers support reinforcing with their childen:

  • they should not be crossing Croudace Street outside of the designated pedestrian crossing
  • they should not step off the footpath onto Croudace Street until they are within the designated pedestrian crossing
  • they should not be taking a short cut and walking between cars to reach the pedestrian crossing

When crossing at the Pedestrian lights, parents/carers and students should:

  • Press the button and wait for the lights to change to the green walk signal before crossing.
  • Make sure that vehicles have stopped before they cross.
  • Wait back from the road if vehicles are moving through the crossing or if the red 'don't walk' signal shows.

The Rosella Gate (near the Canteen) will be closed but unlocked for families to access OOSH from 3:15 pm.

Gardening Club

A huge thank you to Hugh McQuire together with the Osborne and Thienel families who spent Saturday morning shovelling soil to fill our garden beds. A big thank you to Coast to Coast Water Tanks for donating the raised garden beds and Burrells Landscaping Supplies for their donation of the soil to fill them.  We greatly appreciate your support of our school.  We can't wait to starting planting out the gardens and seeing our fresh produce grow.

The students have really enjoyed helping Mr Delanty in the gardens during lunchtime. We hope to get the Gardening Club up and running very soon.
