Principal's Message - Kim Fraser

What a Fortnight of Celebrations and Achievements!

We’ve had an exciting couple of weeks here at school, full of wonderful events and achievements. Here’s a quick rundown of what’s been happening:

After participating in the Rotary 4 Way Speech competition a few weeks ago, Sophia Wang was invited to participate in the Sate Finals. Sophia competed yesterday with 4 other highly accomplished speakers and was awarded the winner!! What an amazing achievement Sophia, such a proud moment for her parents and CPS!

Welcome Back, Tracy! We’re overjoyed to welcome back Tracy, our fantastic crosswalk attendant. We missed you and are thrilled to have you back with us!

Choir Concert Triumph - Congratulations to our talented Choir for their superb performance at the Crown for the WAGSMS Concert last Tuesday. A massive shout-out to Mr Howesmith for his amazing support and to Mr Johnson for his help on the night. The team did an incredible job!

Athletics Carnival Fun - Despite the challenging weather, the Athletics Carnival was a hit! We saw tremendous sportsmanship and the spirit of GEM (Growth, Empathy, and Mindfulness) throughout the event. A huge thank you to Mr Marshall for his hard work, the staff for their fantastic support, and the kids for their enthusiasm and effort.

It wouldn't be an Athletics Carnival without the Year 6 Cake Stall!! Talk about calorie overload but what incredible food was on offer! Massive thank you for all the parents and P & C volunteers, it definitely was a super team effort.

Environmental Officers’ Camp Sleepover: Our Environmental Officers celebrated their outstanding work with a fun ‘camp sleepover.’ A big thanks to Mrs Samsa for leading and organising this event, and to Mrs Osterberg, Mr Hearne, and others for their support and supervision.

STEAM Week Excitement: This week’s STEAM theme, ‘Species Survival,’ has been a blast! The children have enjoyed a variety of activities both in class and during lunchtime. The engineering creations in the STEAM Competition Challenge were truly impressive!

A Reminder on Safety and Respect: Unfortunately, we continue to observe some concerning driving and parking behaviours around our school, as well as instances of disrespectful conduct towards staff, traffic wardens and parents. We kindly ask all parents and visitors to uphold respectful communication and follow our safety guidelines.

Thank you for your continued support and cooperation in making CPS a safe and positive environment for everyone.
