Last night we held our Year 6 Graduation Ceremony. It was a lovely evening of speeches, awards, dinner and dancing. A great time was had by all. We all wish our Year 6 graduates all the best for their high school years and thank them for their service to Dernancourt School.
Today we held our final assembly, where we acknowledged the staff and students who are leaving and again acknowledged our graduates. We also had the Kiwani’s visit to present their Terrific Kids Awards. Details of the award winners and some photos are below.
Congratulations to Sharon Willis, the winner of our Volunteer Award at Dernancourt School. Sharon has worked as a volunteer at Dernancourt School for the last 7 years and in many different ways. We thank her for all of her support. Additionally, we acknowledge Jodie Freund, another long standing member of Governing Council and volunteer over the 10 years she has been associated with Dernancourt. I wish them both well as their families move to the next chapter of schooling.
Our staffing has now been finalised and an updated staff list is attached. Today, students who will be in P10 next year received a letter from their new teacher to take home in readiness for 2025.
Thank you all again for helping to make Dernancourt School a wonderful place to play and learn. I really am lucky to be a part of something so amazing.
Wishing you all a fabulous break with your families, a very merry Christmas and a happy new year. See you in 2025!
