2025 Sports Day Newsletter

Term 1 Week 11 - Thursday 10 April 2025

We are eagerly anticipating Sports Day Thursday 10 April 2025, which is shaping up to be a fun and action-packed event!

To ensure everyone enjoys the day safely, we remind all students that wearing their school hat is mandatory throughout the day for sun protection.

We kindly ask that children apply sunscreen at home before coming to school and encourage them to bring their own sunscreen for reapplication during break times. While sunscreen will be available to all classes, if your child has allergies to a specific brand, please make sure they bring their own to avoid any issues.

We look forward to a fantastic day of energy, teamwork, and school spirit!

HOUSES: Every student is placed into one of four houses:

Reynell (Green), Liston (Blue), Hardy (Yellow), Booth (Red).

All students should be in the same house as their siblingsplease let us know if an error has occurred in our allocation process.

WHAT TO WEAR: students are encouraged to wear their house colours (eg coloured t-shirt, ribbon).

Sports Day Accessories are available on Qkr for parents to order. These orders will close 9am Wednesday 9 April 2025, to ensure there is time to collate and deliver them to students before Sports Day. They will not be available for sale on Sports Day.

Be Sun Safe it is important to ensure that clothing is sun safe and appropriate for active participation. Thongs, sandals and slip-on scuffs are not practical for sporting activities. Tops need to have sleeves, midriffs need to be covered and no short-shorts please. All students must wear their regular school hats (legionnaire, wide brim or bucket).

Don’t forget the sunscreen!

Coloured hair and coloured zinc cream are permitted, but must be applied at home. Zinc cream is available for purchase on Qkr.

Our SCHOOL CANTEEN will not be open on Sports Day and the regular canteen menu won’t be available.

Students and their families have the opportunity to pre-order a special Sports Day Lunch on Qkr and these will be delivered to students via the Class Lunch Crates.

OVAL CANTEEN will be open, our canteen staff and volunteers will be running this and would love some more volunteer helpers.

Students can visit the Oval Canteen at break times (see timetables) to purchase lunch, drinks and snacks. Students will not be permitted to purchase cans of soft drink.

To avoid congestion and prevent students waiting in a busy line, we ask all parents and visitors to visit the oval canteen outside break times if possible.

The oval canteen menu is included in this newsletter.
