This week, in STEAM, Prep students decorated CD roms to become ‘Sun Catchers’ that can protect our gardens by shining sunlight at birds who like to eat our vegetables. We also discussed the role of solar panels on the roofs of houses and how they harness the sun’s rays and save money on our electricity bills. These investigations are all part of a study of the weather and the effects of the weather on our daily lives.

Billy Cart Fun
The children had an amazing day today and it was great to see adults and children working together to follow directions (video and written) to put together our Billy Carts. It was wonderful to see and hear the conversation, planning, and building that took place. We have lots of photos but will put together in a video when the whole project has been completed. Thanks to our families that so generously allowed us to use their tools to assist in the making of the Billy Carts.
It was at times a slow process, but a great deal of problem solving, cooperation and patience.
A wonderful experience!
School Uniform Breaches
It has come to my attention that there have been a number of children who are breaching school /sports uniform expectations this term.
I understand that at times, near the end of the year with growth spurts, parents wish to delay buying new shoes/ clothing until the new year. I also understand with the changes in weather patterns, summer uniform might require some additional layers. However we have several children wearing incorrect socks, shoes and general school and sports uniform on a regular basis without notification.
If your child is unable to wear the correct school uniform it would be appreciated if you could please inform school in writing. Thank you

Summer uniform on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday (except during netball clinics) and Friday.
