Principal's Message

Last week we celebrated book week!! A fantastic week was had by all. The book week parade began the festivities with students and staff getting into character! The children were provided loads of wonderful literacy-based activities. The end of the week was topped off with visits from the very talented author/illustrators Kelly Canby and Peter Cheong. Massive thanks to our staff especially Di Idle, Clare Etherington and Emma Johnson who put the week of ‘enjoyment of reading’ together!

Congratulations and welcome to our new School Board members; Kieran Johnson, Arthur Belotti and Thanh Nguyen. We look forward to you all being part of the board. Very big thank you to Leigh Bigg and Chris Young our outgoing board members who have been active participants on the Board for the last few years. We have greatly appreciated and highly valued your input in supporting and helping to drive the school focus and direction.

Our school is extremely proud in providing such a rich and well-balanced learning environment for our students and genuinely celebrate our caring, engaged parents and community.  WA Education Awards is a special way communities can celebrate the incredible achievements of public schools in WA and if you are interested Nominations are now open.

Don’t forget the Learning Journey Tuesday 12 September. Classes will open at 5 and close at 6.30. The children are so excited to show you what they have been achieving across the school. Classes will even have a bit of a ‘challenge’ activity for parents to have a go at! Don’t forget to visit the Music, Art and French rooms. It is always a great family night.

We hope you get time to pop down to Bunnings Innaloo tomorrow morning to support the DUCK's Sausage Sizzle.  Accolades to all the dad's who have organised this and for taking time to volunteer!

Wishing all our dads a wonderful Fathers Day this Sunday, we hope you get super spoilt!

STEAM/Science Week 13-21 August 2023

While National Science Week was back in August, this year CPS will be celebrating this very special week throughout Week 8. This year’s theme is INNOVATION, which allows a lot of scope for students to engage in all things STEAM.

Our students will be engaged in many learning opportunities and activities throughout the week, including the Innovation Take Home Challenge and inviting Dr. Karen Lee-Waddel and an astronomer from the CSIRO to talk to our students.
