I’m incredibly proud to share the highlights from our 2025 NAPLAN results and even prouder of the students and staff whose hard work has made these achievements possible.
These results are not only something to celebrate; they are clear evidence that the changes we introduced to our teaching approach, particularly in English, are delivering the outcomes we hoped for. When we trialled this new direction in mid-2024, it was a bold step. Now, just one year in, we’re already seeing strong results.
In Year 5, our students have made exceptional progress:
- Reading results are above the state average, and 16% higher than those of schools in our network.
- Grammar and Punctuation is on par with the state average, and 12% above the network.
- Numeracy also matches the state average and is 5% higher than our network schools.
Our Year 3 results are equally encouraging:
- Numeracy is well above the state average, and 15% higher than the network.
- Writing is equal to the state average, reflecting strong foundational literacy.
- Spelling also sits at the state average, with a 13% advantage over the network.
These improvements aren’t accidental. They are the result of thoughtful planning, a shared commitment from our staff, and the incredible effort our students put into their learning every day. I couldn’t be prouder of how our school community has embraced these changes.
Most importantly, these results reaffirm our belief that every student can achieve success when given the right support and challenge. We’ll continue building on this momentum, focusing on high-quality teaching and learning to ensure all students have the opportunity to thrive.
Thank you to our wonderful teachers, our supportive families, and of course, our amazing students for making this possible. This is just the beginning!
