Middle and upper primary students have been very excited with their swimming lessons this week with sessions running smoothly. Our JPs have their turn next week and have been excitedly informing me of this. We have had quite a few students coming to school without their swimming gear so please double check that your child has everything they need before leaving home. We have a few spare items so that students are still able to participate, however these are limited and it does cause students distress when they realise they don’t have their own items.
With the long weekend this weekend there are increasing numbers of cars heading off on short holidays or visiting family so please be vigilant on the roads and remind children about road safety. The last day of Term 1 is Friday 12 April when we have an early finish at 2:10pm. Don’t forget to book into KOSHC if you require after school care on this day.
Governing Council AGM
Since the last newsletter we have had our AGM and a further Governing Council meeting to approve the 2024 Budget. On behalf of Governing Council, staff and students I would like to acknowledge and thank the outgoing members for their work and commitment to our school: Megan McWaters, Irena O’Reilley, Tess Vogt and Staff Representative, Carla Brady. We welcome three new members and very much look forward to working with them as a part of the team.
