Dear School Community,
We’re already almost halfway through Term 4. How quickly the weeks are flying by! Its been lovely seeing students settling back into routines and showing kindness and enthusiasm in their learning and friendships.
Over the past few weeks, I’ve continued running our Social Skills and Resilience Groups, helping students explore how to manage big feelings, solve problems calmly, and build confidence in themselves. Its been so encouraging to see their willingness to grow and support each other. Our lunchtime program, Rockets, has also been full of fun, creativity, and laughter, it was a wonderful space for children to play, connect, and feel included.
As we move through the weeks ahead, our focus will be on gratitude and kindness, taking time to notice the good around us and to express appreciation for others. Sometimes the smallest gestures such as a smile, a kind word, or helping hand can make a big difference in someone’s day and remind them they belong. Maybe this week, you could try a simple family challenge: at dinner or bedtime, share one thing you’re thankful for and one way you showed kindness that day.
My door is always open. If you or your child would like someone to talk to, need emotional, mental, or spiritual support, or simply a quiet space to reflect, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I am available for conversations on Monday and Tuesday mornings, and always happy to connect.
Wishing you a calm, thankful, and joy-filled Week.
Warmest regards,
Dawn Tan
School Chaplain
