Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Carers,

What a wonderful Italian Week we all had last week! On behalf of the students and staff I would like to thank Vita (Signora Cesile) for all of her preparation and organisation of the 2 days. I would also like to thank those who worked in the canteen on Monday through to Wednesday preparing and selling the yummy Italian food that was for sale. Thankyou to Anna El Khoury, Maria Mella, Nonna Stella (Stella Fileccia), Nadia Greco and Carmel Malarbi, your support of this event and the school is greatly appreciated.

Many of the children and staff enjoyed their special Italian Week lunch order provided by Bites on Bonwick. A big thank you to Melissa Gagliardi and the staff at Bites on Bonwick for the lovely food. Everything went very smoothly with the ordering and delivering process.

Please be sure to read Signora Cesile’s article in this week’s newsletter.

Parents and Friends’ Family Fun Day

The P & F have organised a Family Fun day to take place here at the school on Saturday November 11th from 12 - 4pm. There will be rides, showbags, food vans and much more. You have received the flyer regarding the presale of wristbands for the rides. If you wish to purchase a wristband that will allow for unlimited rides on the day, you need to purchase them for $35 by 3rd November otherwise they can be purchased on the day for $45.

Uniform

As the weather is improving all students must now be in their full summer uniform. Please ensure that they wear the uniform correctly. If there is a particularly cold day the children can wear their winter uniform, however, they can not mix the 2 uniforms. The girls are to wear

socks with the summer dress, no stockings.

New House Colours

Last term we shared with you the change that we would be making to the house colours. We have restructured our teams from 5 to 4. The colours are RED, BLUE, GREEN and GOLD. Each child will receive a slip letting them know which house colour they are now in. This will be coming home either tomorrow or Friday. Be sure to ask your child about it.

The new Sport T-shirts that will have the house colours incorporated into the design will be available for purchase next year. They are not available this year. The new t-shirt is not compulsory, however, when you need to purchase a new t-shirt they will be the only ones available. Almoza will let you know when they are available for purchase next year.

Take care,

Rachael
