Thank you to all the families and children for their wonderful support and effort to create such beautiful costumes for the Dress Up Parade. It was amazing seeing a variety of costumes that represented Italian culture. The children had such fun participating in the parade.

The winners of the Italian Raffle were: Magdalene Kako, Charlotte Dowler and Dalina Hormis.
Grazie mille to Anna El-Khoury and her team of Italian chefs: Nonna Stella Fileccia, Maria Mella, Carmel Malarbi and Nadia Greco who worked tirelessly to cook arancini, sfingi, pizzelli, zeppole, crostoli, tri coloured jelly and custard.
Grazie mille to “Bites On Bonwick” for providing the Italian lunch orders for the day. The children enjoyed their Italian lunch.
This year was another successful year where we celebrated “La Festa Italiana”. Children expressed their enjoyment over the Tuesday and Wednesday of our celebrations.
Preps and Grade 1 children celebrated Pinocchio’s birthday and danced “Il Ballo Di Qua, Qua '' and DJ Pinocchio. They sang “Se Sei Felice '' and played “Simone Dice”. Grade 2 children practiced making traditional “Cavatelli Pasta”. Grade 3 children played outdoor games like knock “La Torre Pendente '' and throw a bean bag in “La Fontana di Trevi”. Grade 4 children played Bocce. Grade 5 children made Roman Helmets. Grade 6 children created Carnevale Masks. Grade 5 and Grade 6 children also worked on a collaborative art work using pasta as a form of mosaic to decorate a carnival costume for “Capitano Spavent.”
Thank you to Mrs Spooner, the office staff, teachers and the Learning Officers at our school who helped make this day possible. It is a team effort.
