From the Principal

Dear Jamberoo Public School Community,

I am very excited to be the Relieving Principal for the remainder of the year. I would like to express my gratitude to all our families for their continued partnership and support. Education is a collaborative effort, and I value your involvement in your child's education. Together, we can create an environment where every child thrives and reaches their full potential. If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. I believe in open and transparent communication and I’m here to support you in any way I can. I am excited to support your children to ensure a successful and rewarding remainder of the school year for everyone.

Speeches will be presented in the school hall on Thursday 23rd November at 10am. Families are more than welcome to attend.

House captain and vice-captain meetings will be conducted on Friday 24th November for interested students.

Presentation Day

A reminder that our annual Presentation Day will be on Thursday 7th December in our school hall. The ceremony will commence at 9:30am and will conclude at approximately 11:30am. All parents and families are welcome.

Newsletter Calendar

Please take the time to read over the Term Four calendar in today's newsletter. There are many important and exciting events coming up this term. At this stage, there are still some end of year activities that have not been confirmed. Keep a look out for the events to be added to the calendar in the near future.

Fun Day

A decision regarding Fun Day for 2023 has been made. We are excited to announce that this year the awesome students of Jamberoo will be heading off to Hoyts at Warrawong to enjoy 'Wonka' on Thursday 14th December. This will be followed by an action packed Mini-Olympics, to be held back at school. A reminder to all Jamberoo families that the school covers all costs associated with Fun Day.

A permission note for parents/carers will be sent home via School Bytes soon. Please complete the permission form at your earliest convenience so we have a clear indication of the number of students who will be attending Fun Day.

ICAS (International Competitions and Assessments for Schools)

The science assessment was completed in Term Three. The results achieved by Jamberoo students were very pleasing. The school had 8 participants from Years 2 to 6. Of those participants, we had four participation awards, two merits and two credits. This is a very commendable achievement.

Please find below the student results:

Participation – Evie Stearn, Tyler Leeder, Archie Savell, Reece Mills

Merit – Atticus Coffey, Maeve Rimmer

2024 Enrolments

If you, or anyone else you know, is planning on enrolling a child at Jamberoo Public School next year please get in contact with the school at your earliest convenience to organise enrolment forms.

Alternatively, if you know that in 2024 you will be relocating from Jamberoo and your child/children will not be enrolling at the school it is very important that you make this known to us, so we have an accurate picture of student numbers for next year. Your cooperation and communication in this matter are very much appreciated.

Regards,

Mrs Samantha Galea

Well done to Nell Reys, who received this weeks Principal’s Award. Nell has consistently shown kindness and respect towards both her fellow students and adults in our school community. We are incredibly proud of Nell's positive attitude and the positive impact she has on those around her.

Jamberoo Journal

Mrs Brooks and a dedicated team of students have been working very hard to create a weekly Jamberoo Journal. This fantastic publication is a compilation of our students' exceptional work, showcasing their creativity, imagination, and academic achievements. The Jamberoo Journal not only serves as a means to celebrate our students' accomplishments but also instills a sense of pride and accomplishment within them.
