FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Dear Parents and Carers,

MAJOR WORKS

Both A and B Block renovations are nearly complete. All classes are back in their lovely newly renovated rooms. All the classrooms in A Block will be receiving new carpet during the upcoming holidays. The Kinder room will also be having more renovations during the next upcoming holidays. We appreciate the students, staff and community’s flexibility while these works have been undertaken.

STAGE 3 CAMP

Stage 3 students had an amazing time at Canberra. They learnt about Parliament processes, spent time at the AIS, Questacon and the Mint. Photos and recap will follow in the coming days.

FATHER'S DAY STALL

Thank you to the Blacksmiths Public School P&C for organising the Father’s Day Stall on Tuesday 29 August. We hope that all of the Blacksmiths dads enjoyed receiving their gift purchased from the stall. Thank you to all the parents/carers who were able to assist on the day. We hope all of the Blacksmiths dads had a wonderful Father’s Day on Sunday.

FATHER’S DAY BREAKFAST

A big thank you to our school community for attending our Father’s Day Breakfast. It was great to see such a large crowd of Dad’s, Grandad’s and Special People in our students lives. The students enjoyed sharing the many different activities that were on offer with their visitors. Hope everyone had a great Father’s Day.

Kind regards,

Luke McIlvenie | Principal

SCHOOL INCURSIONS

Way Too Cool!

As part of our Book Week celebrations, students were entertained by the ‘WAY TOO COOL!’ educational musical show. Created to celebrate Children's Book Week, the show is a highly interactive musical adventure that explores situations every audience member, regardless of their age or background can relate to. Students were taken on a journey that led them through the twists and turns of friendship and mapping out a way to solve their differences using empathy, kindness and a strong sense of humour.

Let's Love Water!

Today, students in Kindergarten, Year 1 and Year 2 were entertained with explosions, experiments and songs by Professor Puddle and Eddy the AquaBot from Hunter Water.Students were educated in the ways we can all make a big difference, by saving water each day with simple, practical lifestyle adjustments. Thank you Hunter Water!
