Welcome back!

Welcome to the second edition of our Kindy Kapers 2024 newsletter. We are very excited to say that the Kindergarten Transition program is just around the corner in week 2 and 3 of next term. We look forward to meeting you all, especially the wonderful 2024 kindergarten cohort. Please find below important information for next year and enjoy the read!

Transition to School Program

We are excited to invite the 2024 Kindergarten children to Balmain PS for our one-week 'Transition to School' Program, which is offered over 2 weeks. This is a chance for our future Kindergarten students to get a taste of life at school. This will help them feel at ease and make a smooth transition when school starts next year.

Your child must be enrolled through our school office. Please ensure that any health care plans or concerns are updated and given to the school PRIOR to transition.

This year, your child will come to school daily for an hour, for five sessions during the  Transition Program. If you have not yet booked the week you would like your child to attend, please use the link or QR code below to do so as soon as possible.

Transition will begin at 9:30 and we will meet you at the back gate near the basketball court.

At 9:30 parents will wave goodbye. Children will then move into one of the beautiful Kindergarten classrooms to participate in a variety of fun activities each day that introduce them to life at school.

Transition will end at 10:30 and we will bring your child to the gate. Please ensure that you are on time to pick up your child.

Please bring a labelled water bottle, crunch & sip (a fruit or vegetable snack cut into manageable sizes and water only) and a hat. If your child requires medication, please bring their action plan and medication with them each day.

Children do not need to wear the Balmain School uniform during the transition week and are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and closed shoes.

If you have any questions please contact Mrs Archibald via the school office on balmainps@gmail.com or 9818 1177.
