What a spectacular school concert! In front of a large and very appreciative crowd, our students dominated proceedings. All class performances were brilliant - well done girls and boys! To our wonderful staff - thanks for your herculean efforts leading up the concert and on the night. You ensured that we all had an entertaining evening. The concert highlights some of the many excellent features of St Anne’s - namely talented, enthusiastic students; committed, caring staff and supportive families. COMBINED CATHOLIC PARISHES RAFFLE
The Combined Catholic Parishes Raffle has begun. Raffle books have been sent home with your child. Each book contains 10 tickets. Each ticket costs $2, of which the school keeps $1.50 per ticket. I thank you for your support of this fundraiser. Prizes include:

TERM 4 SCHOOL CLOSURE DAYS
We will be having two school closure days this term. These days are Monday 9 October, and Monday 6 November (the day before the Melbourne Cup.)
All families have received an email regarding participation in the MACS School Improvement Surveys. Thank you to the families who have already responded. I encourage all families to complete the survey. The final date for the survey is TODAY, September 15.
AUSTRALIAN MATHS COMPETITION
A few weeks ago some students from Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 participated in the Australian Maths Competition.
The AMC is a most challenging competition, consisting of 25 multi-choice equations and 5 problem solving tasks. St Anne’s students performed very well with 25% of the students receiving Distinctions and 44% gaining Credits.
