Focus Value: : Trust

We rely on each other to do the right thing.

P&F Meeting

Thank you to our Parents on the committee, they are to be congratulated on the amazing work they do on behalf of St Mary’s. 2023 has been a spectacular fundraising year and watch this space over coming weeks to see how that money is going to be spent in the school.

CoRE Challenge

Ms Della Bosca led the Year Five class to a win at the College on Tuesday in the regional CoRE challenge. The activities involved students from several schools working together on a wide range of challenging activities. It was noted by several who attended, the amazing way St Mary’s students communicated with each other in a respectful and effective way to achieve successful group outcomes. Well done to Ms Della Bosca and the Year Five's.

Uniform Committee

The Uniform committee members are meeting this afternoon, after school. We will keep you up to date on changes for 2024.

We are looking forward to welcoming our Grandparents to school tomorrow. We will celebrate with a Prayer service and morning tea.

Thank you to our parent helpers for attending and Lachy’'s dad (Brad from Wheatbelt Coffee Time) for the ice-creams. They had a great time learning about local government and what the Shire does. Thank you to Lisa the CEO for showing us around.

P&F Colour Event

On the final day of Term 3 we celebrated with a Colour Event organised by the P & F, the children had a fantastic time! A fantastic total of $8990.97 was raised by the 91 students that registered - what an amazing result. These funds will be used within the school to benefit your children. The year 4/5 class raised the most money and were rewarded with a Pizza lunch and fruit on Wednesday the 25th of October. We hope you enjoyed your lunch. The child who raised the most amount of money was awarded with a special Medal and Monty the Monster plush toy - well done to Olivia Maloney. Plus the highest fundraisers from each class went into the draw to win a Monty back pack. Congratulations to Rosie Brunetti for being the winner.

We would just like to take this moment to thank the following people who made the Colour Event successful:

* Merredin Bakery for the donation of the bread rolls for the sausage sizzle.

* No Limit's Perth and local Merredin residents for the pool noodles.

* St John Ambulance, Merredin Police and Merredin Fire and Rescue for being in attendance on the day.

* Casey & Kaitlin Walker for the hay.

* Merredin Carr Care for the tyres.

* John Romanelli for making the awesome climbing frames!

* Wheatbelt Fresh Produce for the fruit donation.

* Thank you to Lisa O'Neill, Jaylene Ransom and Christine Johnston for cooking and serving the sausage sizzle.

And to anyone else that assisted on the day or donated blow up pools!

A very BIG thank you to the Colour event committee that consisted of Melinda, Steve and Asha Carr, Jess Nelson, Adele Wahlsten, Michael Sharp, Chesney Maloney, Jade Healey-Ratima and Marie Bartlett. Without these volunteers these events can not be achieved!
