Term 2 Week 2

Principals report

Dear Parents and Carers,

We are pleased to share some exciting updates as Term 2 unfolds at Zig Zag Public School.

🌟 A Smooth Start to Term 2

Our students have settled back into the school routine wonderfully. Classrooms are buzzing with learning, and the playground is filled with joyful energy.

šŸ“˜ 2025 Individual Education Plans (IEPs)

Student Individual Education Plans (IEPs) are developed to keep parents informed about the strategies and interventions in place to support their child’s learning journey.

In 2025, IEPs will include Semester One fluency goals and may outline specific adjustments tailored to your child’s needs. These may include:

  • Support for Aboriginal cultural identity
  • Attendance support strategies
  • Learning interventions currently in place
  • High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE) opportunities
  • Other relevant supports
You can access your child’s IEP via the School Bytes portal under the ā€œResourcesā€ tab.

Parents are asked to review and accept the plan by ticking the box provided in the portal. If you have questions or would like to discuss the plan in more detail, please contact Mrs Gillmore or your child’s class teacher to make an appointment.

  • New Shade Sail Installation: We're thrilled to announce that a new shade sail will be installed asap (weather dependent), providing enhanced sun protection for our students. Thank you for your continued support in improving our school facilities.
