New Lambton Heights Infants School

Term 4 Week 8 2023 Newsletter

We at New Lambton Heights Infants School acknowledge that we learn and play on the traditional country of the Awabakal people. We pay respects to Elders past, present and emerging, valuing their knowledge and seeking continued respectful relationships.

We recognise, respect and appreciate the traditional custodians cultural heritage, beliefs, relationships, and continued connection with the land, the skies and the waterways. This continent was and always will be Aboriginal land.

We are on the final countdown ..

This week starts to finishing up of some of our school wide programs. The last SRE lesson was today, with K-2 students joining together for a special Christmas lesson. Tomorrow will be our final swimming lesson and our final assembly. On Sunday, the P&C will meet for their final meeting of the year and for a social gathering.

Next week will be the final High Tea with Hughsey on the Monday and our Presentation Day assembly on the Tuesday. All students will be individually presented with a book or book voucher and each class will be doing a short performance. Please be sure that your child is at school on time and dressed in Summer uniform. We will be starting at 9:30am.

Year 3 2024 WSPS have a very exciting  final transition with a sports morning organised for them at WSPS on Friday 8 December .. including a trip to the canteen!

Term 4 will end with a bang .. Party day, followed by Year 2 graduation and disco and finally the Year 2 clapout. So many events .. such little time. I'm sure if you are doing this at other schools with your other children, you are looking at a few exhausting weeks! Take care of yourselves and remember we are here to help.
